You’ll see from the photos how spacious the bedrooms are. 6 of the bedrooms have a queen or a king bed, sleeping 12 adults. Any extra
adults will need to sleep in the single beds, trundles or bunk beds. 1 portacot is available, feel free to BYO additional portacots.
Your coffee needs are covered! A SAB coffee machine, Nespresso pod machine, plunger and kettles are provided.
Self-catered property – Please BYO all food and drinks. There’s 3 large fridges on site to accommodate platters, food and drinks for large groups.
** BYO boxed or bottled water for drinking and cooking. All taps in the property are supplied by filtered river water. There’s no mains water in Wellington. **
The local petrol station has a range of essential items and the nearest supermarket is Foodland in Tailem bend.
Reverse cycle heating and cooling in all bedrooms, air conditioning in the lounge rooms, fans & gas heaters in the courtyard along with an outdoor fire pit with wood supplied (except during fire danger season) will help keep you comfortable all year round. We recommend also bringing warm jackets for cool nights by the water.
Minimum 2 night stay standard, minimum 3 nights over long weekends and minimum 4 nights requested at peak times such as during school holidays. We block out both the day before and after each booking for cleaning.
The majority of the property is on one level with wheelchair access from the rear entrance, to courtyard, lounge room, kitchen, deck area with river views, bathroom with accessible shower and accessible bedrooms.
Full laundry facilities provided including a washing machine and dryer.
Pet friendly with large, fully enclosed courtyard and deck area. Please keep pets out of the bedrooms out of respect for other guests who may have allergies. BYO pet beds and anything else you need to care for your pet.
This fascinating property also includes a museum showcasing the history of the area, the stories of the river and the local communities from the past to the present. From the Ngarrindjeri people, the Traditional Custodians of the land, to the building of the original courthouse and police station, through to the stories of the locals and volunteers who have supported and restored this property over the years.
Please supervise children in the museum. The items belong to the National Trust and we trust you to respect them. The museum is off-limits daily from 7pm unless by prior arrangement.

THINGS TO SEE, DO, DRINK AND EAT
The Courthouse is adjacent to the Wellington Ferry, the first ferry crossing on the Murray River and original route from Victoria through to Adelaide.
The large lawn area facing the river is half public park with the riverbank also public. A public BBQ is available in the reserve on the hill behind the Courthouse.
The boat ramp is only 1km down the road. Murrundi Wetland Reserve is a short distance further on from the boat ramp.
The Wellington Hotel is easy walking distance with delicious lunch and dinner options, our kids are big fans of the spaghetti!
Across the river you’ll find the Hall Cafe open on weekends 7:30am – 3pm and the Pangarinda Botanic Garden is always open to the public.
